Enter your material cost and markup and PunchDocs works out the sell price. Customers only ever see the sell price. Pro adds assemblies (a saved bundle like a Cat6 drop or a camera install) and pasting a supplier quote straight into an estimate.
Switching takes one file
Export your invoice summary from Invoice Simple, drop the file into PunchDocs, and check what's in it before anything is saved. Invoice numbers, dates, clients, totals, and payments come over, and imported invoices never count against the free plan. See exactly how the import works.
What PunchDocs doesn't do (yet)
Your customers can't pay by card inside PunchDocs yet, and there's no native phone app: it runs in your phone's browser (you can add it to your home screen). If you rely on either of those, keep that in mind.
Questions
Can I keep my invoice numbers from Invoice Simple?
Yes. Imported invoices keep their numbers, and your next invoice number continues after the highest one imported. You can also set the next number yourself in Settings.
Do my line items come over?
Invoice Simple's summary export doesn't include line items, so each imported invoice gets one summary line with the original total. Clients, dates, tax, totals, payments, and PO numbers come over.
Is PunchDocs really free?
Yes. The free plan includes 1 new invoice every 30 days and unlimited estimates, clients, and items, with no credit card. Pro is $9.99/month for unlimited invoices and the extras, and you can cancel any time yourself.
Can customers pay by card through PunchDocs?
Not yet. Today you put your payment instructions (check, Zelle, your own card reader, and so on) on every invoice, and record payments when they come in, including partial payments.
